Lira High Court Circuit Staff Tipped On Enhancing Customer Care

The Judiciary Public Relations and Communication Registry is conducting a Customer Care session for both judicial and non-judicial staff at Lira High Court.

The training, aimed at enhancing customer care has been attended by staff drawn from different court stations within Lira High Court Circuit.

The lead facilitator for the session, Hon. Justice Lawrence Gidudu, Head of the Anti-Corruption Division, is delivering a presentation on the Impact of Corruption on Customer Care and Service Delivery in the Judiciary. 

He emphasized the importance of integrity, honesty and a client-centric culture, noting that all actions should be in the public's interest. 

Stressing the significance of listening to understand customer needs, Hon. Justice Gidudu highlighted the importance of effectively handling customer complaints.

Furthermore, he urged participants to refrain from any corrupt behavior or tendencies.

Hon. Justice Duncan Gaswaga, the Resident Judge Lira High Court, who flagged off the training emphasized that the training is geared at improving public trust. 

He stressed the importance of continuous learning and encouraged participants to strive for excellence in their duties. 

He reminded them that anyone entering the court premises is a customer, regardless of age, status, or wealth, and urged them to uphold professionalism in their interactions to Improve Judiciary's image.

Participants will also be taken through Public Relations in the Judiciary Service and the Role of Media and Public Relations in the Judiciary.

These presentations will be delivered by the Judiciary Public Relations Officer, HW Ereemye Jumire James Mawanda.

The training will conclude with resolutions and recommendations.

Notably present; HW Lamunu Pamela Ocaya (Inspector of Courts), HW Kaweesa Godfrey (Deputy Registrar, Lira High Court), HW Amoko Patricia (Private Legal Secretary to the Chief Registrar) and HW Adoko Joe Fay (Chief Magistrate, Lira) among other Judicial Officers.
